while dodging work the other day i started looking through some of the many designers that i will never be able to afford (unless they end up at TJMaxx some day, a girl can dream)
i fell in love with all of the following and wish i could hit the lotto today because i would create a triumvirate of personal designers and it would quite possibly make me the best dressed person EVER!
this group would be composed of my all-time favorites –
Maggy London (her and her killer pockets in dresses!) there’s no need to post any photos because pretty much all/any of my shopping posts include at least one dress from her that i’ve recently purchased
the next on the list would be a certain Mr. Michael Kors. i’m not crazy about everything he does but when he makes stuff like this i just can’t help myself. i want to make out with him and then try it all on!
so the third slot in this group i used to think would possibly go to Carmen Marc Valvo. my absolute favorite dress (that i own) is by him and i’ve had a serious crush ever since. but recently i’ve looked at his stuff and thought, meh, not so crazy about it anymore. it doesn’t stand the time test and i would have to seriously cherry pick from his current collections. so he’s been replaced. by none other than Luisa Beccaria. it’s officially love! look at these puppies… (and yes i would totally wear these whities after the wedding, the one with the big flower is to-die-for!) can i just tell you that the first one would make me feel like Natalie Wood circa. 1961… love it!
maybe i’m just really into chiffon right now but her stuff just makes me want to go shopping. if i had dresses like these i would wear them every day! (unless it’s a car washing day of course)
anyone want to loan me a couple thou’ so i can buy one… maybe 2 if i can negotiate a deal : )
anyone know of any affordable lines out there that have gone chiffon crazy this summer? something that falls within the affordable range for most people?

I have been scouring the internet for dresses today, actually, and those are just beautiful! I wouldn’t mind some money to throw around on a fabulous dress.
