in more time

in the last month i have…

  • been obsessed with the shoes in the simponi commercial.  i still have no idea what the drug is for but i see the commercial all day long and i love the red shoes at the end of it.
  • contacted my refuse office too many times to get them to replace our trash can.  there’s a hole in it, the guy who was sent out to replace it apparently reported back that there was nothing wrong with it.  i called again, they said they’d send someone else out.  another month has passed and we still have a holey garbage can.  i called again only to be told it was replaced on 1/8.  umm, no, no it was not.  they’re “investigating” now.
  • eaten my way through at least 3 bags of fritos.  i’m definitely on a kick.  it happens.
  • developed obsessions with random things that i wish i hadn’t because i know i will eventually give in – and it’s gonna be EXPENSIVE!  c’mon, a macbook, really??
  • only mentioned baby havin’ to my husband 2x.  i’m pretty impressed with my restraint… not sure what it would be like without the blog world to vent my ovary pangs to.
  • ordered window curtains for the bedroom and am still waiting for them to arrive.  okay, well 1 of the 6 panels has arrived.
  • ordered my Kitchenaid stand mixer cover and it arrived!  everyone should have one of these… seriously, why are they so hard to find in stores?  shouldn’t they just sell them next to the mixers?  wouldn’t they make good wedding gifts along with the mixer itself?

~ today i learned… “X” became synonymous with a kiss (as in XOXO)  in medieval times when people who couldn’t write their names would simply put an “X” on the line in front of a witness and then kiss the document to show their sincerity ~

  2. I had a friend with the same problem with her recycling bin. It took her about 3 months to get another one.

So, the mixer cover will be useful? I put one on our registry and then I took it off. Maybe I should put it back on. I can’t wait for that mixer, I’ve wanted one my whole life. And my aunt told me to take it off my registry because she already bought one for me. whoo!
