the look. of pine.

Filed under: absolutely fabulous — notsojenny @ 10:06 am

i finally found pictures of something similar to what i was thinking when i began thinking – pinecones + gifts = brilliant!

but while i was searching for these i came across some other GREAT ideas!

i might do these for the kids’ gifts (elves & mice)

and i’m thinking for the first thanksgiving we host (which is at least a few years away) i’m definitely going to do these

but then i realized i had to stop.  because if i don’t i’ll end up with a scene like this, and i love rustic and all but M would start calling me “the crazy pinecone lady”

~ today i learned… Christmas trees are edible. Many parts of pines, spruces, and firs can be eaten. The needles are a good source of vitamin C. Pine nuts, or pine cones, are also a good source of nutrition ~

  1. I love that fireplace!
