oh you tease

am i the only one who feels like JCrew is  a high priced whore?

i mean when you look at their stuff it’s all so gorgeous and perfect.  then you find out the price and you either have to walk away, dreams shattered or suck it up and pay for it knowing you’ll regret it later, even though it is of a certain quality.

i recently saw these…

would they not match my $12 target bag perfectly?

sadly it still doesn’t make up for their absurd $265 pricetag.  oh well.  it’s yet another thing i will not be buying for my wedding day.  maybe if they go on sale?  they’d have to be about 80% off for me to consider them… anyone know the odds of that?  yah, not good.  probably about as good as getting those orange glint shoes on sale…

*** this just in… these shoes are no longer even on the site!  oh well ***

  2. I completely agree!! I used to shop there way back in the day when it was only kind of expensive, not whorishly expensive. I don’t even go to the website anymore because it’s too painful – and if I do, I only go to the sale section.

  3. i saw those in navy and wanted them for my wedding shoes – but even on sale they were still $140 which was a no go as far as I (and my mother!) was concerned. :( they are quite pretty though!!

  4. two hundred and sixty five U.S. dollars? Do they come with cocaine in them or something? Good grief.

J.Crew is off of my list, and they have been for awhile. I saw no correlation between increased quality and these new prices–same cute clothes, hideous, hideous price tag. I can’t even remember the last time I was in one of their stores. It’s sad; I have a lot of fond memories in J.Crew clothes.

  5. I love J Crew, but refuse to buy anything full price because they are ridiculous!

  6. Yep, definitely overpriced whore. I don’t remember j. Crew always being this expensive. But it is completely out of my price range right now. I can’t even look at the catalog because it throws me into such a funk.

  7. Haha, Magda cracks me up! Yes, at that price they sure should come with a lil somethin’ somethin’! I obviously agree…I rarely find things at JCrew that I can’t live without, and when I do, it’s normally the things in the same price range as those fantastic shoes. Booo!
