it’s always like this

just another reason

i’ve never been a big Brad Pitt fan.  i don’t think i’ve gone on about this on my blog before but basically i can’t stand the guy and his cheating ways.  it’s not a moral decision, it’s a decision based on his lackluster acting skills and deplorable personal choices.

that being said i keep seeing this commercial for benny buttons on tv.  and the music.  i keep hearing the music and something about it makes me want to like this movie.  not that i would ever pay $10 to watch this schmuck but i think it’s the music that hypnotizes me every time.  and then i was wrapping gifts the other night and the commercial came on, again the music… but i knew that music.  that’s why i wanted to like it.  i’d heard that music before.  but where?

i spent days trying to figure it out and then the commercial came on and it clicked again the other day and it clicked!  it’s the music from the final scene of Love Actually (one of my all time favorite movies)!  that’s why i liked it.  that’s why i wanted to like the movie.

but now that i know i’m not falling for it.  they can steal the sound of a great movie all they want but they’re not gonna get me.  i know they’re selling another bad Pitt movie and i’m not buyin’!  i know all your little tricks hollywood!

~ no learnings today – i’m on vacation in CT and that’s not ripe for learning.  Have  a Great Holiday everyone!~

  1. I really, really want to see Benjamin Button. I’m not a Brad Pitt fan, really, but I love interesting movies and this one looks crazy! I hope it’s the real deal, if it is I’ll let you know!

  2. Love Actually has got to be one of my favorite movies of all time. How dare they hijack our goodwill and try to transfer it so unashamedly? Booo. I’ve not yet seen previews for Benjamin Button, but the reviews I’ve read have been pretty favorable. I’m still not inclined to see it though, at least not in the theaters.

MERRY CHRISTMAS! hope all’s well in CT!
