it’s always like this

i’m lazy so i love when stuff like this comes along.

now i need to list 10 things i love that start with the letter i was assigned, a B,  so here it goes…

  1. boys– i’ve been known to love me some boys in my past.  at times i’ve tried to put together lists of all the boys i’ve had encounters with, be they a real relationship or just one i was tricked into thinking there was.  needless to say, i’ve dated enough to know what i want now.
  2. bread– not every bread, but fresh baked delicious soft squishy bread.  i’m not a fan of the white bread but a honey wheat, or fresh cinnamon… mmm.  i miss having a bakery around the corner.
  3. boots– i wear boots all fall/winter long.  i wear my rain boots whenever it’s sprinkling out.  they’re so easy and comfortable, not to mention cozy!
  4. bobby pins– i’m obsessed with the things.  i always have a fresh sleeve of them somewhere and millions on individual ones wandering around elsewhere.  the top of M’s washing machine is covered with a pile of them and it gets bigger every time i do laundry and he finds them in the bottom of the basin.  they’re in my car, on my dressers, in my pockets, not to mention the gold mine in the bottom of my purses, even the out of rotation ones.
  5. body butter– specifically from Body Shop.  i don’t know how people keep their skin moisturized without it.  it’s amazing on freshly shaved legs.  it forms a seal that keeps even chlorine and salt water from giving me red bumps!
  6. books – don’t get me wrong, i hate reading books.  not sure why, i just do.  but i love having books around.  i guess it’s because we grew up with a ton of books in our house and could  look up anything at any time.  i also always enjoyed going to the library whether it was in school for a class or after school for “enrichment”.  i still have a ton of books in my place but i have only read about 1/2 of them… if that.  they’re just so much fun to buy.
  7. baby names– i’ve always been one of those girls who picks out baby names from early womanhood.  i’ve gone through a plethora of names i felt would work and still change my mind every year about some of them.  i’ve even had baby naming books appear on my shelf, and in times of boredom look up the meaning behind names i am considering.  i love all the online avenues for playing around with names.  but nothing makes me shudder like when i hear someone i know name their kid something awful.  the poor things… i just always hope that kid gets a good nickname to make up for it.
  8. bulbs– (i’m running out of things i can think of that start with ‘b’… can you tell?)  i’m picky about my light bulbs.  i like warm soft lighting.  i can’t deal with that harsh “natural” lighting that they push on you these days.  it looks almost fluorescent.  who wants to look in the mirror under a blue/white bulb?  not me.  i’ll take soft lighting that gives me an airbrushed look any day : )
  9. butter– how could i not think of this sooner?!  i LOVE butter.  mmm… along with salt and gravy it’s one of my staple foods.
  10. booze – not so much the thing (though i was known to have many a love affair with it in my earlier years) but the word.  i am still mocked when i use it to this day but learned that apparently it’s a much more popular word up in NE than it is down here.  i remember the first time i used it in conversation down here and the room fell silent  “did you just say booze??” i still don’t get it.

so that’s it.  i’m sure i’ll think of more as the day goes on but i’m not that concerned about it.  if i feel like i’ve slighted you and get the urge to make them a little better i’ll let you know. : )

  1. I love the word Booze – how could you not?!

I also love picking out baby names. That was bad when I worked for Motherhood Maternity and would sit around leafing through the baby names books instead of folding clothes.

  2. I swear we are twins. I would have 8 out of 10 of your B’s on my B list too! Glad I could make your Friday a little easier too ;)

  4. Baby names are fun. And it is amazing how many times you will find yourself changing your mind until you have one. My child is named none of the names I always said I would use.

  6. First, I too love body butters!

Second, I have also went through a ton of different babies names. So strange, the fiance and I can’t even decide if we want a puppy let alone a baby. We both have been throwing babies names around like crazy but DO NOT WANT ONE RIGHT NOW- AT ALL. So odd right? It is something fun about picking out names.
