i wanted to list out all of the venues we considered when planning our wedding and the details we collected for each one. once we started to look things up i was surprised with how little info we could find online about any of these places. it seems like everything i found listed under “Virginia” was really for northern VA, which is otherwise known as DC, which is 2hours from Richmond, but whatever.
so i’m putting it all up here in the hopes that another RIC bride will stumble upon it and maybe it’ll offer a little help. if you’re out there, and you have any questions about any of these, i’ll be happy to tell you everything i know : )

Mankin Mansion – coming soon! i decided not to take any pictures at this location. i just didn’t like it. the concept is great but i found the aesthetics to be kind of tacky.

Thanks so much for posting all of your research, it’s been incredibly helpful to me in my beginning stages of planning! I thought you might be interested to know that Sherwood Forest Plantation also does weddings, I don’t know how often, but I have been to one there and I think it has a similar feel to Westover.
